Okay, people, you have to check out the day of great stuff we’ve planned for you and your bambini.
12PM-2PM The Funnest Two Hours of Your Day
A band of AMAZING authors will host rotating storytimes. A troupe of FANTASTIC illustrators will show you how they bring whole worlds to life through their art! AND, the Beacon Library will host creative bookmark making activities!
2PM Witchlings
Then, CLARIBEL A. ORTEGA joins us IN PERSON.
She’ll kick off the launch the WITCHLINGS 3 in paperback.
Then, she’ll ask to hear YOUR favorite moments from the Witchlings series. Can you even believe you’re going to get to tell CLARIBEL a story about your favorite parts of Witchlings world???
Finally, she will take PRE-ORDERS FOR signed copies of the latest Witchlings book, WITCHLINGS 4!!!
And of course, she’ll chat with y’all. If you have never been to a Claribel event, you are in for a treat. She is so nice. And you’ll honestly see just how much she loves the characters she creates. And she’ll even talk about writing! She is awesome in person. Come out and meet her.
3PM Super-duper Double Book Launch
A super-duper double-book-launch and signing with two of our favorite authors: Paul Tremblay and Dan Poblocki!!!
If you’ve attended some of our previous events, you may have met Dan. And if you were very very lucky, you got to hear him read from his work. He blends a flair for drama with a gentle humanity, and before you know it, he’s immersed you in a whole new world. And how can you resist a new book called My Brother’s Butt is Haunted? HOW CAN YOU RESIST???
Kids may not know Paul Tremblay - YET. But he is one of the most accomplished adult horror writers ON THE PLANET! His books include Cabin at the End of the World, Head Full of Ghosts, and a book we helped launch last year, HORROR MOVIE.
And now, he’s bringing his gift for TERROR to middle grade readers. If you love spooky books, and you’re ready to take a trip to someplace you can’t believe, you will love Paul’s new middle-grade book, ANOTHER.
Love helping kids connect with books? Come volunteer with the fest!
