Hey CAMPERS! We held our last CAMP of 2025 on Dec 17 at the Howland Cultural Center.

Thank you all for showing up, for sharing your love of books, and for bringing your creativity. What amazing stories, comics, and crafts you created!

We learned about a bunch of new books. We wrote stories about robots and time travel. We made Halloween masks, Winter Solstice lanterns, sun catchers, and terrariums!

We handed out so many reading journals, and  dozens and dozens of reading tokens. And many of you earned gift cards just for your reading!

In 2025, CAMPERs was generously supported by a grant at the Howland Cultural Center. We’re so grateful for their commitment to kids and community. The Howland hosts so many great shows. Check out their site and socials, and go see something!

The grant covered the space and supplies for crafts, notebooks, stickers, and all other collateral. Andi and Mark donate their time to CAMP, because we believe reading is critical for our imaginations and thinking skills, we believe talking about books is fun, and we believe in helping kids keep their love of reading and writing alive.

All of the cocoa we served was donated by the Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company. So next time you stop in for some books, pop in next door, grab some cocoa, and tell them thanks for supporting Stanza CAMPERS!

We’ll send out another update in Jan, detailing how the program will move forward. We cannot WAIT to come back bigger and better in 2026!

UNTIL THEN, kids can always pop into the shop, grab a reading journal, show your reading progress to anyone behind the counter, and get stickers and gift cards for their reading progress!

Thank you all!

-Mr. Mark & Ms. Andi
