Kids love reading. We see it every day. Kids press their faces on the glass of our door. Kids insist their parents bring them in for books. Kids run to their section in the back of the shop.
Stanza is on a mission to fuel that love of reading, to help kids understand how much fun it is to share reading in a community, and to encourage them to view a bookshop as a magical space where stories come to life.
So we’re thrilled to introduce Stanza Campers, a program for early readers and middle graders.
Here’s how it works
On the last Friday of every month, we’ll host two storytimes:
5-7 yr olds(with caregiver): 4:30PM-5:30PM
8-12 yr olds(with caregiver or drop-off if you like): 6PM-7PM
We’ll provide some hot cocoa and treats and gather around a (faux) campfire.
We’ll read to the kids. Sometimes Mr. Mark and Ms. Andi will read, sometimes we’ll be joined by special guests.
Kids will do fun and creative activities!
Kids can share the books they love the most(if they want!)
We’ll provide notebooks and stickers for kids to celebrate their reading progress
Kids will earn badges, and even prizes, for their reading!
