The Winter Solstice marks the darkest, shortest day of the year. Many cultures honor the day by engaging in rituals which embrace the darkness and welcome the light.
Drawing on a number of texts, we’ll explore several European Winter Solstice traditions. As a bonus, Andi will facilitate a discussion about the astrology of the Winter Solstice. Andi is a long-time student of tarot and astrology. I mean, have you seen our esoterica section?
Then, all will be invited to perform a candle ceremony where we set our intentions for the upcoming year, and a sigil-making ritual to help seal those intentions.
Finally, we’ll explore the ritual and magic systems in our debut novel “Hekate’s Return,” share some influences and background of the novel, as well as some upcoming plans for our small press, Sacred Consort.
